transliteration web service

linguaseek's transliteration is simple and straightforward.
Request format:
Submit a HTTP request to

http://www.linguaseek.com/LSearch/XLit?l=LangName&q=RomanText
replace "LangName" with the target language name
replace "RomanText" with the phonetic spelling/text in English

Use the list of language values from the select list in linguaseek search pages.

Response format:
Response for transliteration requests is plain text.
The first line is a header indicating direction and can be one of 'l2r', 'r2l' or 'glyph' for 'left to right', 'right to left' or 'glyph' respectively.
Transliterations begin on the second line:
Responses are formatted with displays in mind. Each line contains a 'tab' delimited list of characters that make make up syllables or glyphs or similar language constructs.
Variants/alternatives are distributed across multiple lines. The first component/field of each line represents the first language construct, the second component (tab delimited) respresents the second construct and so on.
The format is different for 'glyph' languages (only Chinese.) In this case, each line represents each pinyin syllable. Each utf-8 character represents a glyph.
